2025 Lesson Offerings
1-on-1 Self-Rescue Survival Swim Instruction
At LWIA, our goal is to inform parents and empower children in order to minimize the number of fatal drowning incidents in our community.
What to Expect
1-on-1
Attentive
Instruction
Lessons extend 4 days per week*, just 10 minutes per day. In our methodology, students come back immediately the next day to build upon what they have done the day before. In this way, students learn to trust their instructor and to practice, by repetition, the skills necessary for swimming and survival in the water. You will see that your child is mentally and physically tired after just ten minutes of 1-on-1 instruction & activity.
*6 weeks for new students, 3 weeks for returning students.
Practical
Life Skills
For children who are developmentally ready, we will work on things like breath control, kicking, rolling into a float, flipping to swim, and more. Infants will work on breath control and rolling into their float to find the air. We desire for your child to learn to enjoy the water safely, have fun, and work hard. Yes, your child may cry at times. As we all know, it can be challenging and uncomfortable to start something new, but at LWIA, good is on the other side of hard and life on the other side of learning.
Partnering
With Parents
At LWIA, we partner with parents to create a positive experience, while also pushing our students to realize their capabilities in the water. It is important that students are encouraged at home and on the way to and from lessons. Parents are welcome poolside and invited to take notes as the instructor deems necessary. In the event that a student is not progressing due to parent involvement, we are committed to partnering to find the best solution.
