Survival Swim
At LWIA, our goal is to inform parents, empower children and positively impact families in order to bless people and minimize the number of fatal drowning accidents in our community.
Survival swim doesn't have to be scary, but it is essential.
We teach children to enjoy the water safely.
Each child is unique.
That's why we pace our lessons in a way that encourages growth and learning for each individual student. We value competence and confidence, so we work hard to balance a firm, yet welcoming and gentle approach to survival swim that nurtures the whole child.

Formal swim lessons have been shown to reduce the risk of drowning by up to 88%.
Drowning is the leading cause of death for children aged 1-4. Fast and silent, it takes as little as 20-60 seconds. Nearly 70% of toddler drownings occur during non-swim time.
